How to Recycle Your NomNomNow Box

Your cardboard box can be re-used in many ways, or can simply be recycled each week.

To re-use your NomNomNow box, you can collapse the box for easier storing, or put it to use straight away!

To recycle your NomNomNow box, collapse the box, and place it in your recycling bin.

How to Recycle Your NomNomNow Liner

Inside each NomNomNow box, you’ll find a liner (it may be silver, or white). This is what keeps your fresh dog food cool and safe in transit– which makes it very convenient for using anytime you need to transport your dogs’ food!

To re-use your NomNomNow liner, simply fold and store until the time comes! When traveling with NomNomNow, we recommend putting your food and ice packs inside a liner, and folding it tightly shut. This will enable your food to stay cold for up to 8 hours. (This is easiest with silver liners. With the larger white liners, you may find it easier to use a cooler.)

To recycle your NomNomNow liner, simply place it in your recycling bin.

How to Recycle Your NomNomNow Ice Packs

Inside each NomNomNow box, you’ll find 1-2 frozen ice packs (depending on how far you and your pup are from our kitchen!). These frozen ice packs are the second piece of the puzzle in keeping your fresh NomNomNow at a safe temperature until it reaches your door.

To re-use your NomNomNow ice packs, store them until you have an occasion for which you will need a cold pack to go with you. Our ice packs come especially in handy when you’re traveling with NomNomNow (as mentioned above, you can simply place your dog’s NomNomNow meals and two ice packs in a liner, seal it up, and safely travel for up to 8 hours). If you store your ice packs in the freezer, they’ll be ready at a moment’s notice. To save freezer space, you can also store them in a cupboard, and refreeze when needed.

To recycle your NomNomNow ice packs, snip the corner and empty the non-toxic gel into the trash. You can throw the outer shell in your recycling bin.

How to Recycle Your NomNomNow Meal Packs

We choose to individually portion your meals, because we know that precise portions are one of the essential keys to a healthier diet. Luckily, all of these meal packs are recyclable!

To recycle your NomNomNow meal packs, simply rinse them out and throw in your recycle bin. You can double check that your local recycling center will accept these hdpe#2 plastic bags here, or find a nearby recycling center that will.

Earth Day : NomNomNow Recycle Program

FAQ: Does NomNomNow have a recycling program?

In the past, we have tried several recycling programs with our delivery partners, to enable your NomNomNow box and packing materials to be re-used week after week. After extensive testing with such programs, it became clear that returning packing materials (not all of which were in a re-usable state), created a much larger carbon footprint than having customers recycle packaging on their own.

We are effectively moving away from any such programs, as we ask you to recycle the NomNomNow packing materials you receive in your deliveries, as it’s the best thing for keeping our carbon footprint small. We know that being green is a common goal, and we greatly appreciate your efforts in joining us to re-use and recycle!

At NomNomNow, we’re committed to helping your dog, and all other dogs, live a happier and healthier life, and that starts with taking care of our planet! As far as we know, it’s the only one with tennis balls, squeaky toys, and the healthy ingredients needed to make NomNomNow.

For every share or retweet of this post on social media during Earth Day 2017, we’ll plant a tree! Help us spread the word about re-using and recycling NomNomNow.
